Ricardo van der Meide is a Dutch artist, born and raised in Rotterdam and currently living in Drachten, Friesland. His creative foundation was established at the Graphic School, where he developed his sense of form, composition, and craftsmanship.
Since 1980, Ricardo has worked as a maintenance painter, a profession in which his eye for detail and color has been refined on a daily basis. Alongside this work, he continued to develop artistically. In his spare time, he created oil paintings and watercolors, through which his passion for painting became increasingly evident.
In 2026, Ricardo takes a new step by actively presenting his work to a wider audience through Online Gallery. His paintings are characterized by craftsmanship and authenticity. He stretches his own canvases and works exclusively with high-quality Winsor & Newton Professional oil paints, contributing to the quality and durability of his work.
With a background that naturally combines craftsmanship and art, Ricardo van der Meide creates works that are both technically strong and deeply personal.
